Dryer High Limit Thermostat
Whirlpool manufactures several brands, including Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. They also produce items for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. The Hi-Limit Thermostat is an OEM replacement part specifically designed for Whirlpool gas dryers. This safety component monitors the internal drum temperature during cycles to prevent overheating. If the temperature reaches 200 degrees Fahrenheit, the heating element shuts off. It restarts when the temperature drops to 170 degrees Fahrenheit.
