Where to find your garbage disposal model number.

To get started, first select the style of garbage disposal you need parts for. Then use the model number locations guide to reference the various locations the unit's model and serial number tag may be located.

Model number locations

Locations will vary by model and manufacturer.

1 On the side of the main motor housing
2 On the very bottom of the unit (near the reset button)
3 Attached to a printed tag on the power cord
4 On the side hopper, near the discharge tube connection

Sample Model Number Tags

Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
