Additionally, they produce items for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. This genuine manufacturer part, also known as a primary micro switch or microwave switch kit, is designed for use in microwaves. Its main function is to detect whether the microwave door is open or closed. A faulty switch can prevent the microwave from starting or cause it to run with the door open.

The kit includes two 15 Amp, 125/250 Volt switches with 3/16 inch terminals. Before replacing the part, ensure the microwave is unplugged to avoid electrical hazards. High-voltage capacitors in microwaves can hold a charge even when unplugged, so exercise caution. This kit contains two single pole, double throw (SPDT) micro switches. For the secondary interlock switch, order part # 56001100.
