Range, Stove, Oven, and Microwave Control Panel in Black
Whirlpool manufactures products under several brands, including Whirlpool, Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. They also produce items for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea. This control panel assembly is designed for a Whirlpool microwave and oven combo, suitable for wall-style ovens.
The assembly includes the controls and circuit board that manage the microwave and stove functions. Having a fully operational control panel and circuit board is crucial for proper heating. Always use a voltage meter to test the appliance before diagnosing any issues. A malfunctioning control board can lead to partial or complete failure of the appliance's functions. This can occur gradually or suddenly, depending on the malfunction's severity. Issues may include intermittent baking and broiling, non-functional microwave features, or a non-illuminated timer display.
To replace the control panel, first unplug the appliance and move it away from the wall. Open the lower area to find and remove the two bottom screws securing the trim. This will release the trim around the entire appliance. Next, locate and remove the two screws at the bottom of the control panel assembly. Disconnect the wire harness, then connect the new component and reattach the screws and trim.
This part is compatible with Whirlpool and KitchenAid appliances.
