Refrigerator Ice Level Arm. This Ice Maker Shut Off Arm is a genuine replacement part designed for use in Samsung side-by-side refrigerators. It functions by sensing when the ice storage bin is filled, subsequently instructing the icemaker to cease ice production. The arm has a length of 6-5/8 inches.
A malfunctioning shut off arm often results from wear at the hinges and joints due to frequent movement to activate the ice maker switch through numerous ice production cycles. Prolonged usage might also lead to misalignment of internal components.
Indications of a faulty shut off arm include:
- Uninterrupted ice production, regardless of the amount of ice in the bin
