This dual water valve is an OEM replacement part suitable for various LG refrigerator models, including those branded as LG and Sears-Kenmore. Before placing an order, please verify that this is the appropriate valve for your refrigerator, as certain models may require different valves. The valve's function is to control the water flow to the refrigerator, supplying water to both the ice maker and the water dispenser. It is equipped with two quick-connect outlets and should be tested at 120VAC when the ice maker needs water.

To replace the valve, start by turning off both the power and the water supply. Next, remove the lower door bins and the water tank cover to access the valve. Carefully remove the black plastic retainer ring and the water tube. To install the new valve, reverse the removal steps. Once installed, restore the power and water supply to the refrigerator. Activate the water dispenser to release 1-2 gallons of water, which helps flush the system and remove any air from the lines.
