This product is compatible with several GE brands including Cafe, General Electric, Monogram, Haier, Hotpoint, Profile, Fisher & Paykel, and Sears-Kenmore. It is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) part designed for use in GE wall ovens and ranges. The function of the inner burner cap is to distribute heat evenly across the burner surface and to shield the burner element below.

The deterioration of a burner cap can result from normal wear and tear such as scratches or cracks that develop over time due to regular use and cleaning processes. Additionally, the material of the burner cap may weaken from continuous exposure to high temperatures.
