WP98997 Whirlpool Appliance Clip

Whirlpool WP98997 Genuine OEM Wire Harness Clip is the authentic original equipment manufacturer replacement designed to securely hold wire harnesses in place inside your appliance. This durable clip is engineered specifically for a wide range of Whirlpool appliances and is fully compatible with models from Maytag, KitchenAid, Amana, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Admiral, Roper, Norge, and Sears-Kenmore.

The WP98997 serves as a wire harness clip that routes and secures electrical wiring within the appliance cabinet. It keeps harnesses properly positioned, prevents wires from rubbing against sharp edges or moving components, and helps maintain organized, safe electrical connections. Constructed to original Whirlpool specifications, this Genuine OEM part ensures a precise fit and reliable long-term performance that aftermarket alternatives often cannot match.

Common symptoms that indicate the clip needs replacement include loose or dangling wires; rattling noises during operation; wires that have shifted out of position; or visible damage or absence of the original retaining clip. Over time, vibration, heat, and repeated use can cause the original clip to break, loosen, or go missing, increasing the risk of wire abrasion or electrical issues.

Replacing a missing or damaged clip with the genuine Whirlpool WP98997 delivers several important benefits. You restore proper wire routing and retention, help protect the harness from damage, reduce vibration-related noise, and support safer, more reliable appliance operation. Because it is a Genuine OEM part, you can trust that it meets the manufacturer’s exact standards for fit and durability. Installation is typically very easy—most users simply snap the new clip into the designated mounting location with no special tools required, making it a quick and accessible DIY repair.
