This OEM water valve is a genuine replacement part for refrigerator ice makers. It is designed to supply water to the ice maker, filling the water reservoir. If your ice maker stops working or fails to dispense ice, it may indicate a need to replace the water valve. Replacing this component is straightforward. Start by turning off all power to the refrigerator. Open the freezer door to access the water dispenser. Unscrew and remove the inner door panel to expose the old water valve. Detach it from its mounting brackets and install the new water valve in its place. Reattach the door panel and turn the power back on. This part is compatible with refrigerators from General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA.
