Frigidaire, including Electrolux, Gibson, Tappan, and Sears-Kenmore, offers a temperature sensor for their ranges. This OEM part monitors and reports the oven's internal temperature, ensuring accurate cooking. It sends temperature data to the control board, which adjusts the burner and heating element accordingly.

A temperature sensor may fail due to faulty electronics, damage from spills, moisture, or wear over time. At 70°F, a functional sensor should read around 1100 ohms. If the reading deviates by more than 10%, replacement is necessary.

Signs of a malfunctioning sensor include:
