It circulates water through the dishwasher's spray arm. If the spray arms aren't working correctly, it may be time to replace the pump and motor assembly.

Though it might seem challenging, replacing the pump and motor assembly is straightforward. Begin by unplugging the dishwasher and shutting off the water supply. Disconnect the drain line from the garbage disposal or sink drain. Open the dishwasher door and remove the bottom dish rack, followed by the upper dish rack.

Next, take out the spray arm at the bottom of the washer and release the feed tube clips. Use a nut driver to remove the bottom access panel and tow panel. Disconnect the power cable from the junction box and the supply line from the inlet valve. Pull the dishwasher out of the counter, tilt it on its side, and detach the hose from the drain pump. Remove the wire harness from the pump and disconnect the wires from the diverter motor and circulation motor.

Once these steps are complete, tilt the dishwasher upright and remove the pump and motor assembly from the bottom. Install the new assembly and reverse the previous steps to reassemble the dishwasher.
