Refrigerator Drip Pan Kit
The kit includes a drain tube heater, drip pan, and drain tube. It is compatible with various Whirlpool brands such as Amana, KitchenAid, Maytag, Jenn-Air, Magic Chef, Roper, and Admiral. Additionally, Whirlpool manufactures products for Sears-Kenmore and Ikea.
This kit is designed to be installed at the bottom of the refrigerator to catch condensation. During the refrigerator's operation cycles, any generated moisture collects in the pan, preventing spills. If the drip pan becomes damaged, water may leak onto the floor. It's important to check for clogs first, but if the part itself is damaged, replacement is necessary.
To replace the drip pan kit, first unplug the refrigerator and move it away from the wall. Use a nut driver to disconnect the water inlet line coupler and remove the access panel. Bend the pan retaining tab, open the refrigerator doors, and remove the water filter cover. Finally, take off the toe plate to access and replace the drip pan.
