The circulation pump motor is situated near the bottom of the dishwasher. Its role is to spin the impeller, which moves water through the spray arms during the wash cycle.

To access the circulation pump and motor for repair, it is advisable to pull the dishwasher out of the cabinet and tip it to one side. Ensure you disconnect both the power and water sources before starting. For this task, you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver and a 3/8 inch nut driver.
