Part Warranty Coverage

The warranty on a replacement part comes from whoever manufactured that specific part — not from us, and not necessarily from the brand of your appliance. If you're repairing a Whirlpool refrigerator with a part made by a different manufacturer, that part's warranty follows its own maker's terms, not Whirlpool's. Check the brand printed on the part itself before assuming which warranty applies.

Manufacturer defect warranty periods:

  • Whirlpool: 1 year from purchase date
  • GE: 1 year from purchase date
  • Frigidaire: 90 days from purchase date
  • Bosch: 90 days from purchase date
  • LG: 90 days from purchase date
  • Samsung: 90 days from purchase date
  • Speed Queen: 90 days from purchase date
  • Fisher & Paykel: 90 days from purchase date

What This Warranty Actually Covers

This covers factory defects — something wrong with the part when it was made, not damage from installation or normal wear after months of use. A control board that arrives dead on arrival is a defect. A control board that fails after a year of ordinary operation is wear, and falls outside this coverage. If you're not sure which situation you're in, our support team can help you figure that out before you go through the return process.

If You Think You Have a Defective Part

Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue as soon as you notice it — the closer to your purchase date, the more straightforward the claim, especially on the 90-day-coverage brands. We'll help you determine whether it qualifies as a manufacturer defect and walk you through next steps from there.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My appliance is a Samsung, but the part is made by a different manufacturer. Whose warranty applies?
A: The part manufacturer's warranty applies, not the appliance brand's. Check the brand stamped or printed on the part itself.

Q: What's the difference between a defective part and one that just wore out?
A: A defect means something was wrong with the part from the start — it failed immediately or shortly after installation through no fault of use. Normal wear happens over time through ordinary operation and isn't covered under this warranty.

Q: What if I'm not sure which category my situation falls into?
A: Contact our support team with your order number — they can help determine whether your situation looks like a defect or wear before you start a return.
